Once we have outlined the fundamental motivations which determine all human behaviour, excluding the pathological ones, we can begin outlining a map of the parts that make up the human mind. Clearly this distinction is made for research purposes only, as in reality no divisions in our brain exist in watertight compartments and there are no interconnection problems between the various sections. We can divide the human mind into two main parts: the conscious and the unconscious.
